I've been crazy busy...

2011 has been amazing! I have been so swamped with work this year that I have not been able post my projects on my website as fast as they are coming in. This is a good thing! However, I do feel bad that I have not been able to share my adventures with you. Here is an overview of what you've missed.

In February I was the Associate Producer & 2nd Assistant Director on a high budget 35mm shoot in the desert by Palm Springs, CA. We started prepping for this shoot 4 months in advance. We had 3-time Oscar nominee  Jack Green on the shoot as our Director of Photography and 3-time Oscar winning soundman David Macmillan. The shoot was amazing.

In March I was a Boom Operator on an Eva Longoria and Justin Slater feature film.

In March-April I was the Co-Producer & Production Manager on a 2 week test shoot we did for a feature we are shooting this fall.

In April I was the Line Producer & Production Manager on a feature length motorcycle documentary.

Also in April I was the Gaffer for a feature film trailer.

In June I was a Co-Producer & Production Manager for a short film in Los Angeles.

Also in June-July I was Associate Producer & 1st Assistant Director on a feature film shooting in San Diego.

In August-December I am Producer & Director of Photography on another feature film

In November I was Key Grip on a number of productions.

For more info on my previous projects and for a behind the scenes look at my latest adventures as I post them, check out my News section.

Here's hoping 2012 brings more adventures! Cheers!

The Kiss Before the Slaughter

POSITION: Gaffer

I was hired to work as the Gaffer on a feature film trailer called "Kiss Before the Slaughter". We shot the project on 35mm film at Central City Studios in Los Angeles, CA.

Assisted Living Web Series

POSITION: 2nd Assistant Director

I was hired to work as the 2nd Assistant Director for a webseries called "Assisted Living". We shot it in Santa Monica on two Canon 5D's. The cast was friendly and fun to work with, as was the crew. The location we shot at was a graphic design studio that has a ton of free space. Craft services was amazingly good. There were way too many snickers bars and chocolate goodies to tease me. I endulged. lol.

Underbelly Blues Film

POSITION: Boom Operator/Actor

A friend of mine was making a low budget feature film and asked me to help out. It was a nice change from the larger budget union shoots I am used to where everybody has their specific job duties. On this production, everybody helped out with everything in order to make it. The actors helped haul gear, crafty made lunch, etc. I was the Boom Operator and even jumped in as an actor in one scene. Nothing big, but I was a bouncer in a scene at a nightclub where I got to drag a drunken patron out of the establishment when he starts arguing with one of the actors. The cast was made up of a lot of comedians and there was a lot of improvisation involved. There was a lot of laughter and good times on set.

Doritos/Pepsi Commercials Completed

The Doritos and Pepsi commercials that I shot are finally complete and online for viewing. I was the Assistant Director for the production. You can view the videos at the following links. Please watch the videos and send the links to your friends. The more people that vote on the videos, the better our chances are of winning the contest and having them aired during the Superbowl. Enjoy!
